“Spiderman” - Autonomous crawler

Panterra was awarded the task of developing and fabricating an autonomous robot for crawling inside structures for inspection and welding.

The crawler can be carried through a manhole, then extended to fit within circular or square pipes of up to Ø2.8m.

Spiderman becomes a platform to safety perform tasks in a confided space eliminating the requirement for human entry.

A platform that can be designed and configured to a customer needs, where the robotic arm "pick-up" is remotely controlled without entering the confined space, attaching the require tooling for that specific operation.
