“Spiderman” - Autonomous crawler

Panterra was awarded the task of developing and fabricating an autonomous robot for crawling inside structures for inspection and welding. The crawler can be carried through a manhole, then extended to fit within circular or square pipes of up to Ø2.8m.

Retrofit - Crude Transfer Systems

Over the past decade panterra has serviced, overhauled and fabricated several offloading / crude transfer related equipment such as swivels, winches, and systems that include gearing, brake and pipe spools. In addition the retrofitting of complete systems such as bow-loading systems and winches, including their ancillary functions such as the HPU and hydraulic system.

Panterra was awarded the task of designing and fabricating 4 PIG Launch and Receiver units on behalf of APL Norway for delivery to Reliance Ruby FPSO. Design code PD5500 with ABS Class follow-up and design approval.

Torque Transfer System

The TTS (Torque Transfer System) was fabricated and tested on our premises in Arendal, Norway. The complete unit then transported to the yard for installed into the Barossa FPSO.

CANLock 500

The 500 ton locking mechanism, designed by CAN Systems and BW Offshore, represents a significant innovation in offshore engineering. A locking mechanism is designed to engage and disengage easily, facilitating quick deployment and retrieval of subsea buoys.
